The "Freedom of Expression and Accessible Information" seminar was organized on May 29 in cooperation with the MCM, JICA Mongolia Office, and the UNDP.

In this seminar, about 60 representatives participated from the media industry and the UNDP, IDLO, the Embassy of Japan, the Independent Authority Against Corruption of Mongolia, the Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia, the Supreme Court of Mongolia, the Judicial General Council of Mongolia, the Prosecutor's Office of Mongolia, Mongolian Customs General Administration, National University of Mongolia, The National Legal Institute of Mongolia, Mongolian Bar Association, Mongolian Advocates' Association, etc.
 
Stakeholders, lawyers, and media representatives determined the role of media in a democratic society, media-related laws, freedom of expression, and barriers to access to information, discussed solutions and exchanged presentations and opinions.
